Change jewelry at home safely! Open captive bead rings with these professional quality plyers. Compact and easy to use, they have handy notches to keep rings from slipping when youíre opening them. We started buying these direct from the manufacturer and found that they have more sizes - the small sized plyers are 4.5" long with 2 notches and needle nosed ends for those tiny diameter rings. The large sized (pictured at left) are 6" long with 4 notches and are great for mid-gauge rings of most any diameter. The Extra Large plyers have 3 large notches and are great for mid to large gauge rings. To remove the bead from a captive bead ring, simply place your ring in the plyer notches, centering the bead between them, apply GENTLE pressure just until the bead pops out. To put a bead back in - center the ring in the notches, and apply GENTLE pressure until you can just barely slip the bead in, release the plyers and test the bead tension.
